COMMUNITY & LEADERSHIP

Community has always been at the heart of my work. Whether leading marketing teams, mentoring creatives, or organizing events that bring people together, I believe strong connections drive both personal and professional growth.

In 2012, I founded Exercise & Excess, a lifestyle and community brand that combines running, social connection, and local business partnerships. What began as a simple idea—to make fitness more fun and inclusive—has evolved into one of Austin’s largest and most active groups, with more than 4,500 members and weekly events that draw 50–75 participants. The group’s success has been driven by grassroots marketing, authentic engagement, and a focus on creating memorable experiences that keep people coming back.

I’ve also served as Vice President and Marketing Chair for the Texas School for the Deaf Foundation, where
I led fundraising campaigns and digital storytelling initiatives that expanded visibility and donor engagement. Additionally, my work with Front Steps, a nonprofit serving individuals experiencing homelessness,
deepened my understanding of how communication and compassion intersect to create meaningful change.

These experiences remind me that leadership isn’t just about business outcomes—it’s about inspiring people, amplifying purpose, and building something that lasts. Whether through marketing strategy or community outreach, I’m committed to creating connections that make a difference.
